Director of Sales & Operations Americas

in their Andover, Massachusetts location.

In this function, you have the responsibility to substantially grow the revenues in Aerospace in Americas (USA, Canada, Brazil), to manage and further build up an ambitious sales team of key account managers, foster and maintain our Americas sales network and act as an important interface between our customers, TTTech’s marketing and engineering teams in the US and Europe. Furthermore, this position is responsible to lead the overall office operation of the TTTech North America office.

Your Tasks

  • Lead, develop and expand TTTech North America´s sales team, inspiring confidence, motivating and guiding your team members
  • Proactively create the demand for TTTech Aerospace solutions and grow the pipeline of qualified prospects within an already established customer base and with new accounts in the A&D   marketplace
  • Lead, manage & further build the USA sales team & organization & office to support our ambitious growth in the Americas
  • Direct responsibility for selected key accounts to build, forecast, manage and achieve revenue and lead quota
  • Responsibility for the entire sales process from business strategy, development of business models, preparation of written proposals, execution plan to closure of contracts
  • Capture and understand prospective customers current and future needs and communicate with product and project management and marketing
  • Work in a team of Technical Sales, Product Management and Customer Project Services team
  • Work with the customer and TTTech team after the sale to ensure maximum benefit to the customer
  • Establish and foster long term relationships with our key customers
  • Support and build A&D distribution channels
  • Provide sales forecast, budgeting, growth strategies and market intelligence to support the development of long term strategic business planning
  • Initiate, coordinate, collaborate with the marketing department in the HQ and monitor marketing activities for the Americas market (e.g. trade shows, conferences,..)
  • Lead & participation of trade shows, conferences and industry events
  • Overall responsibility for the TTTech NA office operation

Your Profile

  • Very good understanding of the commercial, space, military aerospace onboard electronics markets and their respective trends and procurement process
  • Proven track record of aircraft on board solution selling for embedded or complex technical software and hardware solutions for applications such as avionics, Integrated modular avionics, flight control, power system, engine control, utility systems
  • Good technical understanding of avionics, software & hardware certification, silicon and actuation systems for airborne systems
  • 10 years of relevant business experience in sales and/or business development and technical sales or onboard hardware and software in the target market
  • Minimum of an Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering. MBA preferred
  • Strong hunting and prospecting skills as well as the ability to build and cultivate strong relationships
  • Demonstrated success in using consultative, solution oriented sales approach
  • Team builder with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to hire, lead, manage and train sales team
  • Very savvy in financials and business models;
  • Managed P&L responsibility
  • Demonstrated success establishing and cultivating business relationships with C level executives
  • Excellent listening, presentation and public speaking skills (communication at various levels including key technical resources and C-levels)
  • Well respected in the aerospace/avionics industry
  • Hard-working and dedicated to excellence
  • Self-initiating, pro-active, disciplined person, highly motivated
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally (30-50%)
  • International & cross industry experience is a benefit
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PPT, Visio)
  • Desire to succeed and grow in responsibility and position
  • Must be well organized
  • Must have clean driving record & license
  • Must have ability to obtain a US Passport, international travel may be required
  • Must be legal US citizen
