Embedded Software Developer Aerospace (m/f)

In this technically challenging function you will work as part of our software development team in the Business Unit Aerospace, focusing on the development of embedded software for use in safety-relevant real-time systems. Depending on your strengths and interest, there are multiple chances to grow, either towards a specialist or a management role.

Your Tasks

  • Design, implementation and maintenance of embedded software for use in safety-relevant real-time systems and computer networks in the aerospace domain
  • Develop software according to defined processes
  • Definition and review of software requirements
  • Participation in the design of software and system architectures
  • Specification and execution of developer and unit tests
  • Collaboration with other development teams in multi-disciplinary projects (Hardware/Software)
  • Support the creation of user documentation and the customer service organization with technical expertise

Your Profile

  • University degree in a technical field of study -- preferably with reference to computer science
  • Very good knowledge of programming in C and experience with scripting for automation (e.g. python)
  • Professional experience of at least 2 years in embedded software development
  • Knowledge about device driver development and/or on networking tools in Linux or VxWorks is a plus
  • Experience with development processes for software and system safety as well as software configuration and build management
  • Committed teamplayer willing to work in cross cultural teams
  • Very good command of English, German is a plus

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. The position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe); we provide a minimum salary of 40,000.- gross per year. Naturally, we offer overpayments based on your previous experience and qualifications.
