Release Manager (m/f/d)

In this challenging role you will manage the release life cycle of our MotionWise product. You will schedule releases based on our customer roadmaps as well as coordinate the integration of new features on the main branch with our development teams. You will set up release meetings and collect all needed results for release Go/No-Go decision. Besides that, you will help to build up and optimize our continuous delivery pipeline.

Your Tasks

  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Ensure the smooth feature integration as planned
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Maintain the release roadmap in coordination with the project manager
  • Track release content based on the release roadmap
  • Conduct release readiness meetings and make release Go/No-Go decisions
  • Guide the Build and Configuration Management Team on release details
  • Collaborate with Systems & Integration Team to understand impacts of branches and code merges
  • Drive the branching and merging strategy in alignment with our development teams
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the agreed stakeholders

Your Profile

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field of study
  • Practical experience in Release Management
  • Experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development is beneficial
  • Knowledge of automotive software development lifecycle is beneficial
  • Ability to understand BCM tools and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work together with cross-functional teams towards task completion
  • Personality with a pragmatic approach and goal-oriented way of working
  • Communicative team player
  • Excellent command of English, German is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel (max. 15%)

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. The position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe) and we provide a minimum salary of 50,000.- Euro gross per year. Naturally, we offer an overpayment based on your previous experience and qualifications.
