DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

In this position you will get a deep understanding of our software development infrastructure and of the respective development processes. Together with your colleagues you will take over responsibility for managing, developing and maintaining a reliable software infrastructure toolchain in order to facilitate our development processes and support our software developers.

Your Tasks

  • Understand the software development workflows and requirements of all our business segments
  • Refresh existing or specify new development concepts and architectures together with all internal stakeholders
  • Drive the architectural design and conduct code reviews of internally developed software development tools
  • Consult customer projects with respect to DevOps best practices and conduct internal training courses
  • Actively engage in  the team planning and scheduling sessions on the Sprint and Roadmap level as part of the leadership team
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our tools and services by reviewing them versus the current state of the art
  • Build bridges and interface with both sides: the development projects and our internal IT infrastructure teams

Your Profile

  • Profound understanding of the DevOps mindset, practices and tooling
  • Practical experience with configuration as code and automation (Docker, Ansible, Vagrant etc)
  • Broad knowledge of state-of-the-art development tools and related technologies (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc)
  • Good Programming and scripting skills (preferably Python and Bash)
  • Interest in creating technology roadmaps
  • Proactive and flexible mindset, service-oriented and used to communicate with different stakeholders
  • Good command of English

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe). We remunerate your performance with a minimum salary of 40,000.- Euro gross per year. We offer an overpayment in accordance with your previous work experience and qualifications.
