(Junior) Software Deployment Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

In this position you will get a deep understanding of our global software development infrastructure and of the respective development processes. Together with your colleagues you will take over responsibility for managing, developing and maintaining a reliable software infrastructure tool-chain in order to facilitate our development processes and support our software developers.

Your Tasks

  • Enable internal developers around the globe to describe their needs on build nodes (preferrably Linux and Windows)
  • Coordinate needs of developers with IT teams, IT permission systems and security concepts
  • Enable internal developers to deploy custom software packages on build nodes automatically
  • Coordinate SCCM/Software Center package creation and maintenance
  • Optionally assist evaluation of Ansible Tower/AWX

Your Profile

  • Profound understanding of the DevOps mindset, practices and tooling
  • Experience in software development principles and workflows
  • Knowledge of software package management principles
  • Prior experience in Python and Powershell
  • Containerization/Docker experiences are of advantage
  • Knowhow of automation tools like Ansible or Vagrant is a plus
  • Excellent English skills

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe). We remunerate your performance with a minimum salary of 40,000.- Euro gross per year. We offer an overpayment in accordance with your previous work experience and qualifications.
