Embedded Linux Developer – Off-Highway (m/f/d)

As an embedded Linux developer, you are responsible for the development of embedded Linux distributions in the area of autonomous driving of mobile machinery and human machine interfaces. You are involved in the whole project cycle from the specification phase to the testing of the software at the customer.

Your Tasks

  • Development and maintenance of embedded Linux  distributions for ARM-based hardware platforms 
  • Design, maintain, and continuously update system  components such as boot loaders, Linux kernels,  device drivers,  system libraries, and utilities
  • System optimization such as boot time, CPU and memory load 
  • Commissioning of new hardware together with our electronics developers 
  • Support in managing our build systems 
  • Share your knowledge and experience with our young and dynamic team

Your Profile

  • Technical degree in Computer Science (Technical University; FH Informatics, Elektronik or similar)  
  • 3-5 years experience with embedded Linux platforms 
  • Good programming skills in C 
  • Experience with tools like GNU toolchain, Yocto, Git, Jenkins and bug-tracking tools like Jira 
  • Collaboration on several Open Source projects 
  • Team players with a strong desire to learn new things, have fun at work and be state of the art. 
  • Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German advantageous

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. The position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe) and we provide a minimum salary of 40,000.- Euro gross per year. Naturally, we offer an overpayment based on your previous experience and qualifications.
