Safety Architect – Expatriate in Shanghai (m/f/d)

In this exciting function you will support our development projects in the field of autonomous driving at Technomous.
This joint venture company of TTTech Auto and SAIC Motor Corporation in Shanghai emphasizes the integration and development of the intelligent driving control central system (iECU). You will start with an intensive onboarding (6-9 months) in our headquarters in Vienna in order to gain a deep understanding of our technology and core product. After this period, you will be ready for your exciting expatriation to Shanghai, focusing on the support of our development projects on-site and enabling a global knowledge transfer in the field of autonomous driving.

Your Tasks

  • Defining future oriented safety architecture in the Automotive field by considering the functional safety standard (ISO26262)
  • Conceptualize & contribute creating system designs for safety critical environments, requirements up to ASIL-D
  • Define Intra-ECU interfaces in MultiSensor and MultiCore environments and to other ECUs in the E/E network.
  • Analyzing, evaluating and alignment with customer and internal stakeholders regarding high level functional safety requirements, followed by deriving the requirement on the architecture level
  • Conduct Safety Analysis and verify adequacy & efficiency of error detection, error handling and Safety mechanisms.
  • Close collaboration with our R&D non-safety teams and product development team both locally and in Austria.
  • Advise, consult and coach a team of HW & SW architects and developers to design and successfully develop safe system and architecture.
  • Optimize infrastructure, toolscape, process chains for reliable system development for Safety related products.

Your Profile

  • Willingness to work up to 6 months in Vienna/Austria and then relocate to Shanghai/China for up to 3 years
  • Degree in a related technical field of study, Master’s or above preferred
  • Experience and know-how in SW architectural design in modern E/E environments
  • At least 5 years’ experience in software development (C/C++/Python) and safety architecture in the field of Automotive embedded systems
  • Experience in Real time Embedded SW Development, Bus Systems (CAN, Ethernet)
  • Knowledge of the Functional Safety Standard ISO26262 and AUTOSAR
  • Know-how of SOA (service-oriented architecture) and Adaptive Autosar
  • Experience with Model-based architectural design &development tools (e.g. DaVinci, Preevision, Matlab,EBGuide, dSPACE).
  • Know-how of Vector, Atlassian & other development tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Git, PTC Integrity) is benefit
  • Knowledge of ASPICE standards & requirements beneficial
  • Proactive team player with hands-on approach and strong intercultural and communication skills
  • Excellent command of English; German & Chinese is a plus

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. The position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe) and we provide a minimum salary of 40.000,- Euro gross per year. Naturally, we offer an overpayment based on your previous experience and qualifications.
