Quality Manager – Aerospace and Space (m/f/d)

Seize the opportunity for development opportunities and a diversified task portfolio by contributing to shaping the future of Aviation and Space programs as Quality / Product Assurance Manager for projects and products, and by taking responsibility for assuring that the quality of our cutting-edge innovative products meets the requirements of customers and state-of-the-art standards.

Your Tasks

  • Quality planning and support of product assurance in product development (electronics hardware and software)
  • Definition of unit / component qualification processes
  • Support of project staff in Q-relevant topics; drive, coordinate and monitor related activities
  • Quality / product assurance of project activities and artifacts including project audits, documentation and reporting
  • Coordination of production partners in Q-relevant topics
  • Quality monitoring during the production transition and start-up phase and coordination of product release
  • Quality management of products in series production
  • Interface to customers including customer communication and support in customer audits, management of complaints, identifying root causes, defining improvement measures and driving their implementation
  • Interface for Q-relevant aspects for suppliers including performance of supplier audits

Your Profile

  • Technical education (M.Sc.) with a focus on electronics, mechatronics or industrial engineering
  • Several years of work experience as quality representative, preferably in development and manufacturing of electronic equipment
  • Work experience preferably coming from aerospace or space industry (alternative is automotive)
  • Experience in electronics development. Software development experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in management of customer quality / product assurance interface, analyzing and understanding requirements, mediating between customers and project teams, negotiation skills
  • Experience in applying quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, Pareto, 5-Why, SPC…) and in applying product quality planning methods (APQP, PPAP)
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying European space standards (ESA ECSS series) and IPC standards (IPC 600, IPC 610)
  • Communicative personality who appreciates to work in an international environment
  • Accuracy, ability to assert yourself and perseverance
  • Very good command of English language

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe). We remunerate your performance with a minimum salary of 53,000.- Euro gross per year. We offer an overpayment in accordance with your previous work experience and qualifications.
