Release Train Engineer (m/f/d)

Due to our sustainable growth we are looking for several experienced Release Train Engineers. In this high profiled position, you are responsible for optimal value delivery of one of our Agile Release Trains in the relevant department. Beside a strong understanding of agile methodologies, you have also a solid skill in classical project management. You can act with confidence within an agile environment, as well as in a classical project setup. In this role you are responsible for the excellent operational performance of our Agile Release Train in the given department. You will also be working closely with the chief Product Owner, who is responsible for the technical content of the program backlog. Your excellent communication skills and open personality helps to drive relentless improvements within our organization.

Your Tasks

  • Align strategy, vision and content of upcoming Program Increments with Business Owners, Product Managers and our Development Teams
  • Plan and execute all program level events (PI Planning, I&A Workshop, System Demo, Scrum of Scrums and Program Backlog Refinement)
  • Cover classical Project Management responsibilities like resource planning, milestone tracking and risk management and translate them into an agile setup
  • Report important KPIs and progress charts to our management
  • Remove impediments and blockers on program level
  • Optimize program executions and the flow of value delivery
  • Set up an accurate tracking of important KPIs and metrics on program level
  • Work closely with Quality Management and encourage the teams to work with built-in quality
  • Facilitate the use of same practices and methods within the separate projects/value streams within different ARTs
  • Connect to our internal agile community and help to strengthen the agile mindset

Your Profile

  • Practical experience as a Release Train Engineer or Scrum Master is a must
  • At least one year of experience in working in an agile organization
  • Experience in scaled agile frameworks like SAFe or less is beneficial
  • Basic knowledge in functional safety is beneficial
  • Embedded software development knowledge and/ or automotive software development knowledge (ASPICE, V-Model, ISO26262) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with demonstrated quantitative ability
  • Excellent command of English, German is a plus

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. The position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe) and we provide a minimum salary of 40,000.- Euro gross per year. Naturally, we offer an overpayment based on your previous experience and qualifications.
