Project Manager Software – Aerospace (m/f/d)

Due to our sustainable growth we are looking for an experienced project manager for the management of safety critical software development projects in the Space and Aerospace domain respecting the relevant quality standards.  If you thrive in an international work environment and bring along an entrepreneurial mindset, then come and join us! Your Tasks

  • Moderate technical discussions, foster strategic decision-making and take over organizational management tasks for our Space projects
  • Comprehensive and professional project planning, setup, tracking and steering
  • Coordination and leadership of project team members as well as international development partners and suppliers
  • Establishment, maintenance and visualization of relevant project metrics
  • Anticipation of deviations and initiation of corrective actions as proactive risk management throughout all project phases
  • Maintain customer relationship and customer support throughout the whole project cycle
  • Ongoing and predictive reporting to management, controlling and other internal or external stakeholders
  • Creation of solution concepts, work break-down structures, effort estimations and resource plans together with the technical leads
  • Cooperate with other Aerospace project managers to leverage synergies and improve internal processes

Your Profile

  • Completed university degree in a technical field of study (e.g. electronics/informatics/telecommunication)
  • Several years of professional experience in software development and project management
  • Background in the area of embedded systems for safety-critical applications
  • Experience with safety standards for software development in space (e.g. ECSS), aerospace (DO-178) or similar
  • Understanding of project management practices and project controlling
  • Experience in the space industry a plus
  • Motivational personality with a structured, pragmatic approach and goal-oriented way of working
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting combined with an appreciative leadership style
  • Open communicator able to understand complex technical matter and transport it appropriately to different audiences
  • Excellent command of English

Your performance is remunerated with an attractive and market-compliant salary. The position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe) and we provide a minimum salary of 50,000.- Euro gross per year. Naturally, we offer an overpayment based on your previous experience and qualifications.
