Systems Engineer – Aerospace (m/f/d)

In this position you will work on the development, integration and verification of advanced embedded electronic systems for aerospace applications. Together with cross functional engineering teams you will ensure performance, functional safety, reliability and robustness of our products. Our customers are the leading airplane and space integrators which gives you the possibility to participate in projects of tomorrow’s aircraft and space vehicles. Depending on your work experience you will start either as a Junior or Professional engineer. You also have the possibility to grow into the role of technical project leader.

Your Tasks

  • Creating, tailoring and maintaining system architecture concepts for embedded hardware or software communication and networking systems
  • Creating and maintaining system level requirements and design documents
  • Performing design analysis and trade-off studies
  • Driving verification and test activities in order to meet product compliance
  • Working closely together with all engineering teams and project managers to drive technical solutions and ensure process compliance
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the system development standards and procedures

Your Profile

  • University degree for technical studies (e.g. Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related fields)
  • Solid experience in the development of embedded hardware or software systems
  • A good understanding of embedded system architectures and of safety critical and fault tolerant architectures
  • Knowledge of ARP 4754, DO-254 and DO-178 is an advantage
  • Committed and reliable team player
  • Solution orientation and analytical thinking
  • Very good command of English, German is a plus

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe). We remunerate your performance with a minimum salary of 44,000.- Euro gross per year. We offer an overpayment in accordance with your previous work experience and qualifications.
